Twickenham House Basics
Twickenham House is located in Jefferson, NC on over 400 acres of private, park-like land. For your out of town guests, it is only about a 20 minute drive from ASHE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT, and a 2.5 hour drive from CHARLOTTE DOUGLAS INTL AIRPORT. The estate can house over 40 people comfortably to stay overnight. It can accommodate 190 guests for your ceremony and reception! There are AirBNB’s around the area where some of your other guests can stay. The grounds are perfect for hiking, biking, and fishing. It is also about 10 miles away from the Blue Ridge Parkway so you could add a scenic drive to your weekend to-do list. They also offer an in-house caterer, which takes a big part of the planning off your plate!
Privacy Please
You have the venue all to yourself. There is no reason to have to end your night at 10PM! The overlook is not only a perfect ceremony spot, but would be a great (private) spot for a first look. Whether you want your photos to have a beautiful mountain backdrop, or more of a forest look, there are plenty of spots to choose from since the entire estate is yours for the weekend. There are plenty of amazing locations at this beautiful North Carolina mountain wedding venue to create the space for you to have some special connections with your family and friends.
Guest Accomodations
There is a beautiful bridal suite with a claw foot tub for you to get ready and have some quiet time before the chaos of your wedding starts. There is also a billiards room for the groomsmen to hang out in that makes for amazing photos. Your reception area has a huge brick fireplace that is a brilliant spot for your sweetheart table. There will be no shortage of spaces for you and your guests to explore. That alone makes Twickenham House such a special venue.
Beautiful Mountain Views
The overlook is one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure to photograph! You really don’t find that many private mountain overlooks. Most of the time you are fighting a crowd of people for the best spot. It is so thrilling being able to have miles of mountain views all to yourself, and it is sure to make you feel like you have the most epic start to this new chapter of your life.
You have the beauty of time at Twickenham House, and you need time built into your wedding day to have the space to take it all in. When you have time, all of the candid moments unfold naturally.
