Libby Hill Park is one of my favorite places to do photo sessions (especially with young kids.) For such a small park it has so much to offer! If you are looking for a place to take your own maternity photos check out this Libby Hill Park maternity session for some ideas.
Walkability
By the time you are showing enough to get maternity photos done, a lot of the time walking won’t be very fun. Libby Hill is fairly small and its easy to walk around to get to all the different photo spots. If you are bringing a toddler to the session it is small enough that most of the time they can walk around on their own without needing to bring a stroller. That in itself is a huge selling point. Places like Maymont are beautiful, but are kind of intense with all the hills.
Beautiful City Views
Libby Hill’s name was Marshall Square at first, and it is one of the three original parks in the Richmond park system! You can’t really beat the views of Richmond you get in the background of all your photos here. Not to mention parking is pretty easy, and I never have an issue finding a spot.
