Finding the right Christmas gift (or any time gift) is a hard task. Sticking to someone’s hobbies is always a safe bet…but what do you get someone who loves photography? You don’t have to drop thousands of dollars on a new lens. There are plenty of smaller things that they will love and use whether or not they own a photography business, or they just enjoy photography as a hobby. All of these things have been on a previous Christmas list or actually are on my Christmas list this year! Keep reading for ten Christmas gifts for photographers.
The Christmas Gift Guide For Photographers
Kindly Camera Bag (The Photographers Fanny Pack):
This bag is on my list for this year! I can’t count the amount of times I have been on a photoshoot lugging around my huge camera bag while only needing a few things out of it, or realizing I have left the bag somewhere on the ground and have to run back and pick it up. This bag is the perfect size to carry around the things I need, and it takes away the possibility of me leaving my stuff somewhere and forgetting it! Any photographer I know would be SO happy to get this as a gift.

ONA Bowery Camera Bag:
This is the last camera bag on my list, and it’s a little bit of a splurge. But this is the perfect bag for someone to take on a trip that isn’t photography focused…but you also want to bring your nice camera to take pictures. It’s like an encouragement to take pictures of your own family, if you will. I also like that it doesn’t really look like a camera bag, which is exactly what Im going for on a vacation. This is the perfect Christmas gifts for photographers who love to travel!

Peak Design Slide Camera Strap:
As much as I love my camera harness (see below), I love this camera strap just as much. The design is absolutely genius. All you have to do is leave those little loops on your camera body and you can snap and unsnap the strap! It’s great when I need to switch between this and my harness, and I like that I can get extra loops for my backup cameras and the strap is interchangeable.

C Coiro Camera Harness:
There are plenty of super expensive camera harnesses out there, but this one has done a great job for me so far. I love being able to have my camera off my neck for longer shoots…it really does save my back. It’s also much easier to move around not having a super long strap attached to your camera.

Universal Lens Cap:
Every photographer I know has lost a lens cap at least once, including me! These are great, and will come in handy when the photographer in your life inevitably looses their own lens cap.

Peak Design Tech Pouch:
I LOVE this pouch. It helps keep me organized whether I am on my way to a photoshoot or taking my laptop to work from Barnes And Noble. I was also surprised by how much actually fits in here, yet there are so many pockets and compartments to put things that it still feels very organized. This is where I keep my Peak Design camera strap when Im not using it too.

Crucial SSD Drive:
This hard drive is so small it barely takes up any space in my bag when I bring it places to edit photos. This is how I back up all my photos for my business. Every year I buy two of these and label it by what year it is, then I put all my RAW photos and edits on one and a backup version of the RAW photos on the other. Every photographer needs storage space, and it is always nice to not have to buy it yourself.

Probably Editing Sweatshirt:
This is another thing that is on my personal Christmas list. A cozy, hobby-oriented sweatshirt that is comfortable enough for editing at home, but it also won’t look like I rolled out of bed when I have to go pick up the girls from preschool…and I can’t think of a better Christmas gift for photographers than that.

Small Memory Card Holder:
I have a ton of memory cards and I normally keep them in a huge case in my camera bag…but usually I only actually need about 4 at a time. Which makes this perfect for clipping in a smaller bag to just hold what I need. Anything that makes life easier is the perfect Christmas gift for photographers.

Three Bridge Photography Gift Card:
This last idea is my personal favorite because I very rarely have photos with my family that include me! As photographers, we obviously think documenting memories is really important…but it doesn’t always happen for our own family the way we make it happen for others. A photo session with our own family will always make the perfect gift for the photographer in your life. Take the stress out of planning a photo session and let someone else do it for them!

I hope this has helped you figure out at least one gift to get for someone (or yourself) this year!
