Echo Lake Park | Engagement Session

Echo Lake Park Engagement Photoshoot

Echo Lake Park As A Location For Your Photoshoot

Meghan and Julian chose Echo Lake Park for their engagement session. I personally love Echo Lake Park as a location for any type of photoshoot. It is easy to get to, doesn’t require a ton of walking, and you get a variety of options for backgrounds for your photos. You can get the lake in the background of some photos and then change the vibe by walking into the woods on the trails a little bit. You don’t waste a ton of time walking around so you also end up getting more photos!

Why You Should Have Engagement Photos Done

Are you nervous in front of the camera? I think everyone is at least at the beginning of a photoshoot, and that is fine! Think of your engagement photos as a trial run for your wedding. You can figure out how you work with your photographer, get comfortable with some of the poses that you will most likely also use on your wedding day, and get all the camera nerves out so you can start out your wedding day being more at ease.

What Should I Wear To My Engagement Session?

Wear anything you feel comfortable in! Honestly that is the most important thing to remember. If you are uncomfortable in the clothes then you will look uncomfortable in your photos. Meghan and Julian went more casual, but having a dressier photoshoot is great too! I usually recommend wearing clothes that don’t have logos, and I generally prefer neutral // solid color clothing just because that lets your interactions stand out more without being distracted by a pattern on clothing. If you do want to choose a pattern, limit it to one person and have the other person use a solid color that compliments the pattern. About Meghan and Julian

They are both pretty laid back, and I think that and their sense of humor really shines through in all of their photos. Meghan also loves Halloween, so we did some fun photos with pumpkins after we left the park. Adding things that show your personality is really important for your engagement photos!
