Amanda and Johnny had such a dreamy fall Magnolia Mansion Wedding! If you are looking at having your wedding at The Magnolia Mansion, I am going to give you a look into a potential timeline, along with some of my favorite things about the venue. I will also give you some insight into my different wedding packages and what you can accomplish with each one!
Magnolia Mansion is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph! With all of the different areas of the venue you get such a variety in your photos. It somehow manages to be both intimate and grand at the same time. They have multiple choices for ceremony sites, along with so many other amenities that you can read about HERE. Getting ready is easy because they have multiple suites to get ready for you and your partner. The upstairs suite has access to the balcony on the front of the house, along with a STUNNING clawfoot tub. The tub is an amazing backdrop for getting ready photos. The grounds are the perfect place to create art. Being able to get ready, get married, and have your reception at the same place really makes it easy to maximize your photo timeline.
Amanda and Johnny chose my 8 hour wedding photography package. It gave us plenty of time to photograph each part of the day. Usually with the 8 hour timeline I get there right as the couple is finished with hair and makeup. Starting with the details gives you some time to make sure the rest of the room is clean. Then I swoop in and take photos of the final lipstick swipe and that final curl of your hair. For this particular wedding, Amanda had her Mom and sister help her with her dress, then we went into first looks. After that they had some time to mentally prepare for their ceremony. After the ceremony we knocked out family photos and then they partied at the reception!
Having a first look really gives you time to get a lot of the formal portraits done before your guests get there. A lot of the time the family who would be in your family photos will be there early anyway. First looks are also the perfect option for if you want to enjoy part of your cocktail hour. You absolutely don’t have to have a first look, but it does give you more time enjoying your actual wedding once it starts.
