I had such an amazing time photographing Mayra and Daniel’s wedding at The Venue At Orchard View Farms! The whole day was relaxed, largely because there was room for everybody to get ready at the venue. One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to watch people be surrounded by everyone who loves them, and this wedding was no exception! Keep reading to find out all about my favorite aspects of The Venue At Orchard View Farms from a photographer’s perspective, how to choose the perfect timeline, and some info about my photography packages.
REVIEW FROM COUPLE – “We are so grateful to have found Caitlin! She did an amazing job at capturing our wedding day! She made us feel at ease and was so kind and patient. We can’t thank her enough for all she did that day! We highly recommend her!!!”
The Venue At Orchard View Farms is located in Cumberland County on beautiful land. It was SO convenient having the bridal suite and groomsmen suite both on site, just a short walk from one another while still being private. The bridesmaids had more than enough room to get everyone ready without being on top of one another. The whole venue is absolutely stunning! Even though there were stairs to get down to the ceremony site, this couple had multiple people in wheelchairs and it was easy to get them down the hill. Everything was accessible to them. The reception venue (or backup ceremony site) was just a short walk from the ceremony site, and made for a beautiful backdrop for some photos. The barn also offers some nice shade for the parts of your portraits that need to take place mid-day! The inside of the reception area had plenty of room, and it was easy for everyone to line up and get food without being in each other’s way. Everyone on the venue’s staff was amazing to work with, and made the whole day flow well. Read more about The Venue At Orchard View Farms HERE
Mayra and Daniel chose to do a first look, and a fake exit. Two of my personal favorite things as a photographer! First looks allow you to be able to get the bulk of formal portraits finished BEFORE your ceremony. That leaves you available to go party way sooner after the ceremony. If you wait until the very end of your reception to have your exit a lot of the older people will have left. You have to really think about your crowd, the end time of your event, and how many people you want surrounding you in your exit photos to decide if this is right for you or not. Mayra and Daniel booked my 8 hour package, and because of how close everything is at OVF we did get a little bit of everything included in the timeline. We also went back out to the ceremony site for sunset photos. That is another one of my favorite things to do! It helps you get golden hour portraits no matter what time your other portraits had to get taken.
I would love to photograph more weddings at The Venue At Orchard View Farms! My style leans more towards story-telling/ documentary. I don’t want your day to feel like a photoshoot. But I do offer posing help during the portrait sections of the day along with setting up important moments with you before I take the back seat. All of my wedding packages include end of night polaroids so you get a sneak preview from your whole day when you leave your reception. It’s one of my favorite gifts to offer couples. I also offer personalized timeline planning help! Let me map out your wedding photo timeline and save you another step in planning your day. I am here for whatever planning help you need!
