Make It Meaningful
Having your maternity session somewhere meaningful to you is another step to add into making your photos memorable. We ended up recreating some of their wedding photos! Whatever you end up doing during your maternity session, your photos should reflect who you are as a couple. You aren’t like any other couple and your photos shouldn’t be an exact copy of someone else’s maternity gallery. Part of planning a session with me is brainstorming ideas for your session.
Privacy Please!
The beauty of any session at The Mill At Fine Creek is that you have the place basically to yourself! If you are nervous in front of the camera, it is a really nice touch to have a private place to take photos. It takes part of the reason for nerves out of the equation! A private location also helps your session keep moving. Sometimes when spaces are crowded you spend time waiting to get the perfect spot.
Add Variety
There are plenty of ways to add variety to your gallery without having to go to multiple locations. This whole session took place in such a small area, yet the photos look like we traveled from the woods to the river! Choosing a place that has a variety of backdrops (like The Mill At Fine Creek) is key. You can also add layers to your outfits. Never underestimate the power of a good white button up shirt.
